Pre-Medical Program

The Pre-Medical Program at ISMS is designed for students who do not have the courses and wish to acquire the necessary knowledge to enroll in the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program.

Students may enter the pre-medical program during any of the academic years. The pre-medical program consists of two semesters, or one academic year, of science coursework.

The admission requirements for the Pre-Medical Program are: 

  1. Three years of college level coursework from an accredited college or university.   
  2. Should include one year of Inorganic chemistry with lab work.
  3. Two letters of recommendation.
  4. Application form thoroughly filled.
  5. Application fee.

Students who successfully complete the pre-medical program at ISMS, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or higher, will be considered for admission to the M.D. program. 

The curriculum for the pre-medical program consists of the following coursework

First Semester

  • Organic Chemistry
  • General Biology
  • Gross Anatomy and Physiology
  • Patient Doctor and Society.

Second Semester

  • Organic Chemistry
  • General Biology
  • Gross Anatomy and Physiology
  • Patient Doctor and Society.
